"Great location and easy parking (discounted rate provided at hotel - simply park up and pay at Reception). Our room was spacious and comfortable with double aspect windows looking out towards the river. Could do with a little TLC (extractor fan not working in the bathroom and toilet flush not great!) but nothing that affected our stay. "I like its history and the Staff are excellent. I disliked: a) Wasting so much milk. I only needed a small spoonful. b) Morning shower.......the water was tepid at the most despite the fact that I reported it and was assured it would be better next day. c) Noisy, especially on Friday night. I could feel the bedroom floor vibrating. d) I found the dinner menu very limited after the first evening. "

The restaurant and food is good quality and I thought priced reasonably. Chilham is a pretty village and the White Horse Inn is also super for a drink with the locals. Canterbury is a short drive, or train journey so a great place if you want to visit the city but be in the country. I loved it. "

"I was made to feel so welcome from the minute I arrived, until the minute I left. I was given a free upgrade on my room, and I have to say, the shower was superb. The whole place was clean, and the beer garden wasso relaxing. Great breakfast. If I have a reason to visit the island again, I will always try and book here.
