"This spot is a cute spot. Don't expect it to be a massive resort. It is a boutique hotel. I got the VIP upgrade which came with a $20 dining voucher but had to spend $50 for it to apply. The room was clean (but there was a dead insect after turnover one day). Room was decently big - had a kitchen area, fridge and microwave. "Owner was friendly through text , workers were great !!! Until my little one broke a drinking vase & the lady tried to get over on my husband & charge him $80 for it. Meanwhile the cook in Spanish was laughing & saying it’s no more then $20 10,000 colonies! That rubbed us the wrong way , we tipped every worker the whole stay! "We loved our stay in Luxury Standard Room 209 at Tulemar. We saw squirrel monkeys daily from our balcony, and toucans, sloths, scarlet macaws, leaf-cutter ants, frogs, bats, and iguanas on the grounds also. "Really enjoyed my time at Oasis Adult Retreat. I knew, when booking, that the hotel was clothing optional; this was never uncomfortable or made awkward the entire length of our stay.The owner, Stephan, very quickly makes you feel at ease once you arrive on property. "Overall this property is family friendly and nice. Walkable from most party areas in Jaco. The only issue I had with is the maintenance. The bubblers in plunge were not working and hit water wasn’t working in couple of bathrooms. Even after multiple reminders and requests the property management failed to fix that. "
