"It said to have been a 16th century inn, but its facilities are considerably well updated. Our room including its bathroom are on par with, or perhaps exceed, current standards. Its restaurant and bar are great. Also, its location is convenient for traveling to/from Stonehenge and Salisbury. The place is highly recommendable."

"Excellent breakfast served by very accommodating staff. The room was clean and airy. My only moan was that the shower took a long time to heat and had very little pressure and the bath that it was over was too narrow naking it difficult yo move."

"The staff at Clifton Hotel were very nice and supportive - helpful with the needs of our baby, as well as giving us useful info on parking. They even placed us in a quieter area of the hotel without us asking. The room was excellent for our needs, with the added bonus of a fridge, which was helpful for medication."

"The hotel is a bit tired. The reception had no one there for quite a while. I had to wait to get served. No teabags in room. The hotel could use some decoration. Having a proper coffee machine at breakfast and allowing to make your own toast would help. "
