"We had the most wonderful night’s stay at The Gateway Inn - friendly smiley staff, superb drinks selection, delicious dinner (lamb henry and sea bass), comfy bed, sparkly clean bathroom, delicious breakfast (we had the most amazing eggs benedict with perfectly-poached eggs, plus the cereal, yogurt, fruit, granola, nuts and seeds, high-quality jam, toast, cheese, Nutella, tea and coffee….all for £8.95!). "I had a single room which was a good size, comfortable and furnished with an armchair, desk, chest of drawers and a wardrobe, which is more than you get in a good many hotels. There was also a good sized and well equipped shower room. My only criticism is their choice of coffee, which could be improved considerably. All the parts of the hotel that I visited were scrupulously clean and there was a friendly and efficient team on hand 24/7."
