"Loved this hotel! Very small and felt like you were out in the country side. The view was unbeatable. Room was very big and spacious, as well as bathroom. Not much around so either come prepared with food to heat up or be prepared to drive a bit to town. All in all one of my favorite places I stayed my whole trip. "

"Stayed for 6 nights and went skiing in Rutsusu daily which was only 35 min away. Excellent location on the lake. Onsen was fabulous at end of ski days with good skin products and massage chair. Half board included and food options though almost same daily had lots of dishes with sashimi the best of qualities. Need to blast heating due to draft through windows but comfortable. Highly recommended!"

"This was a pretty nice ryokan/onsen. Positives: The staff were friendly, and they even had a reserved shuttle bus that will take you from the hotel to New Chitose Airport. The dinner and breakfast buffet was also great because they tried to serve local Sapporo/Hokkaido delicacies. Like, we were able to do our own gengiskhan lamb cooktop for our buffet dinner (which is only found mainly in Hokkaido). Negatives: it was so crowded! "This a beautiful hotel which seems brand new. The staff is wonderful and the meals are great. There isn’t much to do in Jozankei and there are very limited lunch options around (the hotel serves breakfast and dinner). We had a room with a private onsen which was great. Great views of a mountain right in front of the room. If you want to chill and relax you may love it. But don’t expect lots of activities. Loved eating sushi for breakfast. Very quiet and tranquil. "The hotel is very Japanese classic, you need to take off your shoes and store it at the entrance. Besides that, it is great! The staffs there are super friendly; The hot spring is definitely top tier, with nature spring hot water in. Room is also Japanese style, room is spacious and cozy. The only thing that need to notice is that the area does not have much public transportation or taxi services, you can ask the front desk to call a taxi for you, but need to prepare additional waiting time."

"Conveniently located at the lower slope of Noboribetsu. Price is affordable but lift is small and slow. Onsen is a indoor and an outdoor with no views. Room is clean, spacious with plenty of charging plugs in the room. Bed, pillow and duvet is soft and comfortable. We had a wonderful sumptuous Japanese breakfast with mixture of western delights. You do have to walk up a slope to reach the Carpark. If you want an affordable place to stay, here is a good recommendation."

"Very convenient to the JR station, but took their free door to Airport shuttle bus which was so nice on our departure morning since it had snowed overnight! Didn’t have to lug our bags on the snowy sidewalk!"
