"ive stayed here many times because its a very good price for central istanbul- it is quite basic but it has character, it is in the tarlabasi a very old district of istanbul, a bit ramshackle- which i like, but safe,. there are friendly reception staff, close to istiklal caddesi with its many restaurants and shops. its on a very steep street so not great for people with mobility problems, it is also close to the famous sunday market, comfortable bed, i slept well"

"Aly Port Hotel was a perfect location for walking to Grand Bazaar, Taksim square, Galataport and alleyways. Check in was easy and we had a large room on 4th floor. Facilities were clean, however the door to balcony in our room would not open. That was not a problem as we were out for majority of time and just used window for fresh air. Whilst the mosque and main road were nearby we were not too bothered by noise. Overall it was a pleasant stay"

"The staff were very helpful and cooperative, especially Ms. Wafa (The daytime receptionist) and Mr. Shah (The night shift receptionist). Both of them were (five star) receptionists. If the owner asks me for a recommendation, it will be a salary raise for both of them. We shouldn't forget the manager (unfortunately) I don't know his name; he was very good as well.
