"The hotel was great! Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional & helpful. The breakfast provided was okay & there were even hot options available so more than I expected. The area around the hotel has roadwork being completed which looks close to finished. So should be okay in the near future. "

"Our first child free night away in 5 years to celebrate a 40th birthday. We had stayed in an ibis in Sheffield before and didn’t have many strong feelings about it. It was good as a base, but nothing special. This one in Portsmouth was so lovely. From the fish tank in the lobby, & the very well priced drinks, it was perfect for us. The breakfast was very enjoyable, and the free pastry was such appreciated. We will very much be returning."

"Just returned from our one night stay and overall it was a pleasant stay. Room was spacious, bathroom good size. Just felt like it could have some TLC as the wooden Furniture was scraped a lot. But it was clean and slept well. Duvet quite thin but there’s a rug in cupboard that I used and it was lovely and warm. Breakfast was fantastic - very well organised! I loved that you sort the toast. Parking is free and was the reason we booked hotel. If we’re in Southampton again will return. "

"Very comfortable room with free toiletries, beautiful soft, white towels and as much hot water as you desired. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and great service. Very friendly staff.... would have been nice to have a little more choice of drinks at the bar."

"I loved the history of the hotel, room was large and comfortable. A little attention needs to be made to finish ie curtains had fallen off track, so difficult to close properly, USB charging point would be useful. Breakfast was perfect and set us up for the day"

"We stayed 2 nights over the New Year. It is very near my family so very convenient. We had our dog with us and were given an amazing room on the ground floor with a door to the garden. Very convenient. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. I won't stay anywhere else now when I visit the family. Food is very good, we have eaten here with family before, and we were able to take dog into breakfast so no worries about leaving him in the room. We thoroughly recommend this hotel! Thank...
