"Excellent second choice, if you want to stay away from Noboribetsu, which by the way it’s only 12 minutes away by train with almost hourly connections. Hotel itself faultless with very courteous staff! 6-8 minutes walk to station. Word of warning though, the place itself ( Higashi Muroran) is extremely quiet, nothing to do there!"

"The best resort that I had stayed for my Hokkaido trip. The staff is very efficient and shout out to Mr Oda (I assume) helped my dad with his stuck luggage. Love the buffet (dinner and breakfast). Also, we love the open air onsen and fireworks. This peaceful town scene and with 7-11, gas station across the resort. It is abit sad that there is limited restaurants when we are here. However, we loved the peaceful and serene feel that Lake Toya had given us. Slow down our pace for city dwellers....

"The lake view is wonderful from the hotel. The room is large, design is very good especially the bathroom. The hugeflower field is near by the window. If I go to this area, I will choose to stay at this hotel again."

"We were glad to have chosen Toya Onsen Hotel Hanabi for our stay at Lake Toya. The lake view and the daily fireworks on the lake were great experience for us. We could stroll along the lake feeling safe no matter what time we chose to do. We were lucky to have a pleasant weather even though it drizzled a little, but with an umbrella, problems are solved!"

"Excellent hot spring facilities and nice buffet meals. Very close to the bus station. There was no power outlet close to the head end of the bed, which I needed to run a CPAP machine overnight. Staff reluctantly provided extension cables so I could run power from the opposite wall. This has never been an issue in any other place I have stayed. "

"Great hotel with great view and service! Unfortunately the location isn’t that great, about 15-30mins drive away from the main attractions. Staff were amazing though! Go all way out to fulfil our meals needs. 5 stars for the front desk and kitchen staff!"

"The welcome service (from 3 pm every day) was amazing. The Kaiseki dinner package was also fantastic - highly recommended. Staff kindly assisted in reserving me a place on a bus connection when leaving. Hot springs a little tired, and sauna in a separate section. "

"Hotel was a bit dated but was clean. Room was big enough for three. But do note that there is no shower in the room so we had to use the public bathroom on level 1. View of lake from the room was amazing."
