"We had 2 rooms and loved that they shared a common hallway so we could easily go between rooms. Lodge and rooms were immaculately clean. Only complaint was we had 1st floor rooms and windows werent able to be locked due to air conditioner venting system. Would definitely go back and pick an upper level room. Innkeeper was available and responded promptly to any text messages. "

"Beautiful inn with spacious rooms and an excellent restaurant on site. Optional Dinner was fantastic. Complementary breakfast was top notch. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Note that the inn has most of the rooms on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator, but that was not an issue for us. Grounds are lovely with nice flower plantings. Highly recommend for a small town Vermont experience. This town is the setting for the Newhart Show of the 80s to 90s and the Waybury Inn, that was the model...

"This is a lovely old Inn. We found that there was not good lighting to read in our room and just one chair. As the weather was poor It would have been nice to spend time reading. Ther is a couch downstairs that we could have used. "

"I was VERY lucky to find a room at Lareau Farm Inn a week before the solar eclipse on April 8th, and at a most reasonable price. My luck aside, we enjoyed the rustic decor and settings of this inn; we especially appreciated the hospitality of the staff and the yummy cook-to-order breakfast offerings included. "

"Hyde Away Inn, though rustic and simple, was perfectly enjoyable. Accommodations were spare but comfortable and dinner and breakfast excellent. Staff were friendly, courteous and timely. Really a nice place if you don't need all the bells and whistles. The basics were just fine."
