"We arrived as a last minute stay for a sunrise hike for Pen Y Fan on a winters night. The hotel is a 5 min drive from the national trust car park from where everyone ascends so a perfect location for anyone exploring the Brecons. As with some of the other comments, the hotel was dated and in need of a refresh. The pool facilities were fine, though the hot tub wasn’t bubbling, or overly warm on our stay. However, the hotel staff were superb! They were super friendly, attentive and couldn’t help...

"Swift and easy check-in. The family room had two bedrooms which was a very pleasant surprise. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Could have done with a rubber bath mat but found out later we could have asked for one. Similarly de-caff tea and coffee I guess. We had our 4-year-old granddaughter with us but there were no issues with noise from the bar below. Limited menu but food was very good. Steaks were lovely. Nice pint too. Great breakfast. "Fabulous! A truly relaxing home from home, with friendly and professional staff. We appreciated the quiet of our room ( we didn’t hear other guests), it's draftproofed sash window with view over the seashore, along with a comfortable bed and sufficient space in the room to be at ease.
