"We had the most wonderful night’s stay at The Gateway Inn - friendly smiley staff, superb drinks selection, delicious dinner (lamb henry and sea bass), comfy bed, sparkly clean bathroom, delicious breakfast (we had the most amazing eggs benedict with perfectly-poached eggs, plus the cereal, yogurt, fruit, granola, nuts and seeds, high-quality jam, toast, cheese, Nutella, tea and coffee….all for £8.95!). Rooms nearby were quiet noisy this time, I've stayed before and never heard anyone, all was quiet by midnight and a good nights sleep. "We chose the fleece for its location, near Heysham port for our onward journey, but it is going to be a place we return to on other occasions. It was a great stay. The room ws spacious with a large comfortable bed. The breakfast was good. The food during the evening meal was delicious using local produce like Garstang blue cheese, locally smoked fish etc. It has local community evenings too. "
