"The hotel is in a good location. It is a short 10 walk to the old town. The hotel looks old and might be a little outdated but the room was very nice and quite modern. It was a good size room with a view looking out onto the street. Breakfast was very good! There was a surcharge that I had to pay unfortunately which I didn't like. I don't know why breakfast is hardly included in hotel stays anymore. You pay big bucks of your stay and then if you want breakfast, you have to pay? I don't like...

"Beautiful old building with loads of character. Outside areas very appealing. Warm welcome from reception staff. Stunning four poster bed but on closer inspection bedroom was a little tired (especially the carpet) Nice balcony area an added bonus. Mattress a little hard for our personal preference. Very convenient for University of York (my daughter was doing the York marathon and that was the starting point) We would definitely stay here again. "

"I booked a single room for myself and found that I was stuck into a ground floor handicapped/disabled room without a single window which i did not request. I also discovered that I had been charged 200 GBP for that room, whilst single rooms on other floors were 134 GBP. This was an overcharge and I will never stay at this property again and will be telling everyone I know to avoid the Dean Court Hotel."
