"This was the perfect place for me to do a week-long solo time. I had a great ocean view in the Junior Suite with a bath tub. I swam in the pool and ocean everyday, had lovely meals in the Tiki restaurant, and good connections with several of the staff. I don't know about the other rooms, but the Jr. Suite was delightful!"

"WE loved the Backyard Hotel. We wanted a beachfront hotel that had local flavor and that is exactly what it was.We could just sit on the balcony and watch the waves. "Overall Villa Lapas Jungle Resort was a good place to stay. We had 2 rooms with breakfast, but did not pay for the all inclusive stay because we are vegetarian and don’t drink alcohol. Positives: 1. "Great location and just down the same street located on the beach is the restaurant Coco's. The garden area is beautiful. The pool is a nice hang with a covered area that has a pool table and grill. It's a simple check in and out. Just have to use WhatsApp. "

"This is a unique resort that is owner operated. You should be animal friendly because dogs and and a raccoon call this resort home and visit the restaurant frequently. My kids loved it. "This is a basic but reliable, clean and comfortable hotel. It my second stay. The most important thing about this hotel is that it quiet. It is about 100m from the main street so it is super quiet. Hotels on main street have severe noise issues. This is not a hotel you linger in. You sleep, shower and leave. The rooms are VERY small so you can't really hang out in them.
