"Our first room was ideal for me and my mum , but the tv didn’t work , so there was no hesitation from the staff and they moved us straight away and wow we got upgraded to a suite which was amazing , my 85 year old was crying when she saw it and the view was overlooking the sea .. plus we had 2 tvs:) Thanks to the staff for making our stay extra special "

"Gorgeous cliff top view of the sea from hotel room. Same amazing view from the dining room at breakfast. Continental only but we found it satisfying. We stayed in a room in the first floor which had up to date decor. Comfortable beds. A little bit of dust in places but you cannot completely remove all dust. I would say that you need a car to access south beach. Overall we were happy during our one night stay. "

"The location was close to the harbour area and the room was lovely. The only downside was that the room was on the second floor of an old Victorian 3 storey house and the stairs were a feat in themselves. Also the parking was difficult to sort out as we had to drive to the tourist information building in the town down by the harbour. Once sorted, parking outside the property was easy. The main reception area was welcoming and had lots of complimentary breakfast cereals and hot drinks available....

"After reading mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. The room was very spacious and the view was breathtaking. The private car park was easy to access. The area was on the very far end road and felt very safe. Plenty of walks nearby. Shorter and longer. We did Raven Hall to Robin Hoods Bay and back in 3hrs. The staff was incredble. "We had a friendly welcome from Tess, were given our keys to our room. We had room 2 which was a decent size with lovely fleece bedding. The shower was perfect, could do with a shelf for shower gel etc and a few hooks for clothes/ towels. We didn't have breakfast. It's a 15 minute stroll to the town centre with lovely views on route , would definitely recommend. "
