"Staff very friendly and helpful. Good good. Bed a little uncomfortable. Pool nice and quiet in the daytime. Duvet very lumpy and no filling in areas so got a little cold in the night. Cracks in the bathroom basin."

"Lovely welcome at Reception and staff very helpful during stay. Bar and restaurant atmosphere warm, nicely decorated, and food and drinks service very good. Recommend as a place to stay or just to dine. Menu good with gluten free options. Surpassed expectations and would visit again. Hidden gem of a hotel. Thank you for a lovely weekend. "

"Lovely hotel and lovely friendly owners who even greeted us on arrival . Lovely location however felt the place itself was a bit tired looking …. No nice toiletries and all the coffee sachets had sugar in . We couldn’t see the stunning view due to excess condensation to the inside of the window. There was no bath plug either . "

"I was planning on camping a couple of nights near Keswick, weather not looking good for a late arrival so decided to stay at Derwentwater Hotel... so glad I did! - At check in I was greeted in a really professional manner, in the bar the staff were super friendly! That was my opening night. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic, set me up fuel wise for my planned ascent of Skiddaw (walking past a farm I camped at 47 years ago on my first Scout Camp!!) My hike up Skiddaw, descending to Keswick...

"Only stayed overnight but the executive room was spacious with a comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast was very good too. We managed to park our car but there's only 5 or six spaces. We'd happily return here next time we are visiting family in Keswick."

"Room was small but lovely and clean. The bed was comfy but the room was way too warm, you can’t control the thermostat. The en-suite was nice but only had a bath and was not made aware of this. The breakfast was so so, poached eggs were good apart from the bread was not toasted at all. The service was very quick and the staff weren’t very enthusiastic and didn’t really know the etiquette of whether you’d finished or not. Great Weekend Break

"Nice caravan, situated close to all amenities, if you have stayed in a Haven Park before this caravan would be classed as a Bronze accommodation, to give you the comparison if you were to book your stay with Haven direct. Weather was great, park very busy with the weekend campers (tents) this area was packed, kids play park was a free for all, I would say too small for the amount of families staying onsite, wonder what the middle of summer holidays would be like when all caravans and camping areas are full. A great base if you want to explore the Lake District."
