"This is more rustic than newer hotels in the area, but it makes up for it by larger than normal rooms with a desk, a large refrigerator, a water closet in addition to a bathroom with a double vanity and large walk-in shower. The price includes a full breakfast from 7 am - 9 am. There is a restaurant on-site but during my stay, it was only open the first night of my stay, Sunday evening. But I did get a delicious salad and cocktail delivered to my room that night. I was disappointed on the...

"Comfortable rooms and lots of amenities on-premise. Slightly far from the bus stop for airport or for other places in Costa Rica (but still walk-able), but close to the National Museum and it's not like there's many other things to see in San Jose. "

"Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped set up telescopes so we could see the birds and sloths in the trees. Hot tub outside our room was a nice touch. Rooms were large and comfortable. Only downsides were there really isn’t a bar or place to have evening drinks. Also the cost of bottled water was ridiculous ($30 for two bottles of Fiji water). "

"Very quiet place with unbeatable views of the volcano! Only wish the jacuzzi was hotter. We tried all three and they were barely warm. We also booked a massage and facial but they just rubbed ridiculous amounts of oil on us. However, the food was delicious in the morning. I definitely recommend booking the romantic dinner! The experience was out of this world!! 10/10"

"Excellent service from staff. Clean and new facilities and property. Breakfast was delicious and you can choose amongst any 4 options. It’s close enough to Arenal that you can get to places like Mistico in 30 minutes but far enough away that you can actually take in the spectacular view of the volcano from all over the city.
