"Overall I was very happy with the resort despite a couple of hiccups. The property itself is really beautiful. We stayed in unit 209 and have a fabulous view of the volcano and overlooked a grade with beautiful flowers. Nice private patio with 2 rocking chairs. The resort itself has flowers everywhere and the pool, thermals and restaurants are all in close walking distance. Con was problems with A/C and we had to call 4 different times (same day) to get it to finally be fixed (and even then...

"Good, spatial rooms with view of the volcano. Everything was clean. Breakfast was good but only three meal options: fruit or eggs & toast or traditional ie. Rice and beans etc. The receptionist was not always around (they split their time across two sites). Helpful when present. Don’t be put off by the dated building, the rooms exceed expectations."

"Spotlessly clean, with friendly staff, this hotel is in a fantastic location for uninterrupted views of the Arenal volcano, which are amazing! Our room was well appointed, comfortable and well tended during our stay. The only criticism would be that the public areas are a little dated and poorly laid out: the bar is currently remote from the body of the hotel and rather unappealing, but we did note that there was a programme of refurbishment in progress, so maybe this is being addressed.
