"ive stayed here many times because its a very good price for central istanbul- it is quite basic but it has character, it is in the tarlabasi a very old district of istanbul, a bit ramshackle- which i like, but safe,. there are friendly reception staff, close to istiklal caddesi with its many restaurants and shops. its on a very steep street so not great for people with mobility problems, it is also close to the famous sunday market, comfortable bed, i slept well"

"After multiple stays here I feel very much at home. All staff very helpful and accommodating. Great breakfast. Tea, coffee, sahlep, pastry and fruits served in the lobby. Piano to play too. Access to airport bus and public city transportation all easy. More restaurants and fast food options than you will ever imagine in short walking distance. Shopping too easy; bring money! Don’t be discouraged by the transitional area; that is Istanbul!"

"Marlon Hotel is beyond exceptional. Service was superb. Parvin, the hotel owner was so considerate, accommodating and engaging. The hotel itself is just a block away from the shopping area and Taksim square. Walkable to Galata tower. Its a new hotel and well managed. Room was clean and we love the bathroom design and color. Our room can accommodate 3 pax as there is a queen size and a single bed - not a sofa bed. They offer free coffee, tea and water. Very much recommended. Will definitely...

"If you're into clubbing then the clubs are right outside your doorstep. It's a really noisy area especially during the weekend. The staff were really accommodating and the room was really nice. But the AC wasn't the best. The room is really spacious as well which is a plus. It's really close to Taksim Square and Galata Tower. Though because of the proximity to the clubs I had a couple that was fighting right across my room at 11 pm. But that could just be an isolated incident."
