"Monteverdi Country Lodge was very nice stop on our first trip to Costa Rica. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and kind, and that alone made the stay 5 stars in my book. The room was clean and comfortable. My only small complaint were a slight lack of electrical sockets in our room. We made do, but given how dependent we all are on our devices, a few more would have been nice. Also, the location is set back from the main road, so the location would not really be considered walkable...

"The staff (ie: Glenn) were great and friendly. I was a bit surprised by the location when we first arrived as it's in a bit of a residential sort of neighborhood. However, it was not a problem and we were just a short drive into the downtown area for shopping and dining. The breakfast that is included was very nice. There is an elevated deck with comfortable seating offering great views to the west. You can actually see the Pacific if it's not too hazy. "
