"The farmhouse is OK. Host is very friendly and helpful. But the second night we didn't have hot water at all and found a pretty big scorpion and a tarantula on the wall and on the ceiling."

Stuart gave a wonderful tour of the integrated farm, and Alex was a lovely host sharing eggs, coffee, coconut, and laughs with us. "This upper level of a two-story condo has such a beautiful tree house feel. We loved all the windows and jungle sounds. It was clean and well-equipped and we didn't hear any noises from the neighbors around us. Beds were very comfy. A lovely 15-minute drive back into Monteverde. It felt secluded without feeling isolated and is near many options for tours of all kinds. Highly recommend!"

"Welcomed at reception and given great recommendations for what activities to do in the area. Cute cabin with kitchen including blender and rice cooker. The howler monkeys wake up with sun rise so don’t be surprised to hear them. The property has its own nature trials.Quite a central location. We would recommend "

"The staff is amazing and extremely helpful. Our cabin overlooked the trees with birds galore. Plenty of trails around the property with a fish hatchery, flowers, fruit, etc. we opted for breakfast the first day but didn’t realize we were to tell them on the next day. Not sure what happened. Defiant would stay again. Pool was freezing so we couldn’t enjoy it very much when we were there. "

"I had an excellent 4-day stay at Camino Verde B&B. The inn was located within walking distance of everything in Santa Elena. There is a mini-market right next door for anything you might need as well as a diner ("soda") next door on the otherside of the inn for excellent, authentic, high quality low priced Tico meals. Daily breakfast was awesome as was the staff. I espcially appreciated the kind help of Diego and Aaron who helped me plan my excursions. Many thanks! I'll be back."
