"We stayed here and were impressed with the service. It is primarily a ski hotel and we needed to transport our baggage down the slope at an early hour...the staff willingly did it by tobaggan. This is a traditional japanese hotel...witg futons and communal bathing area which was fun to experience. Snow monkeys were fun to see."

"It was our first time to this area, we chose Ryuoo upon recommendation from a Japanese friend. Very nice Western-style hotel at Ryuoo ski resort. We were in the King Suite, a 2 bedroom/2 bath with a living room. Super spacious, modern living. It is located a very short walk to the base & ticket office. The staff is helpful & they have a great female employee (sorry I forgot her name) who speaks fluent English & French, or translation apps works with everyone. Washer/dryer downstairs, microwave...

"This Route Inn location is a bit older than some of their other locations, however it still has some good amenities like a public bath and in-building coin laundry (a must for hot Japan summers!). Room was small but clean, overall a good experience. I thought the included breakfast was every day, however I only received 1 meal coupon for my 2 day stay, which was surprising. Not really expensive, but didn't purchase a 2nd day and just got a bento on the train instead."

"It was a clean and functional stopover hotel in a smallish town at a shinkansen transfer station. Does have restaurant and public separated baths for nice soak after a days travelling. Staff were nice and friendly. I would go there again if in the area."
