"We had a great time at the Maplecroft Bed and breakfast in Barre, Vermont. Our host was very accomodating and the room and breakfast were both outstanding. There was a big snowstorm while we were there, which required me to sweep off/shovel out my own car (to which I would never object). However, we then left for the day and I wonder what might have happened if we had returned and found someone else in the parking spot we had shoveled out, requiring us to do it all over again. No other guest did...

This place is reliable for a comfortable night's sleep and is still as good as it was since the first time I stayed there. The quality of hospitality provided by this establishment is wonderful and recommended for any traveler needing basic lodging that provides comfort and cleanliness. "

The main area is much bigger than it looks in the pictures Close to everything in Waterbury, and a short drive to Stowe, Waitsfield, and other locations around the state. "My wife and son and I visited this beautiful basement walkout for 4 nights. It is nicely decorated and all amenities that were supplied were put together with care and thought (ie. towels, toiletries and even a supply of basic food items-coffee, cream, local cheese, butter) really nice touch and much appreciated. Also there is a huge game room and several large TVs which were great at night. With the quaint.town of Waterbury close by it made for a great time on our ski trip."
