Wonderful old house. Fenced in yard for pups. Modern kitchen. Great place at a great price.
The heating vents are open from first to second floor, so privacy may be an issue. But we will be happy to go back again!
Our family had a wonderful time staying at this property while in town for a hockey tournament at Norwich. Very close to many places. Beautiful property. Property manager was very accommodating to our requests and responded quickly. Would recommend to others and look forward to staying here again.
We stayed for 1 night and would definitely stay again. Communicating with the host was a breeze and they were quick to respond. I loved all the antique pieces of furniture, very cool. The kitchen is beautifully redone, and I only wish we were there longer to really use it!
The farmhouse is extremely charming. We especially loved the kitchen and the pellet stove. The rooms are more spacious than the pictures seem in the listing, which is great. We had difficulty with the gate to the fenced-in area for our dog, so we had to travel through the barn to get to the fenced-in area. It was an adventure! Williamstown is a quaint town and a short drive from Montpelier and Waterbury, which made our outings easy. Our only complaint is that the floors were very dirty upon arrival.
We only had one night to be here and we would have loved to stay longer! The house is more comfortable and pleasant than the photos appear. Perhaps this is because the rooms are all quite large. One could imagine a large farm family had lived here in the early days. We certainly appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and took full advantage of the Nespresso machine! We would definitely come again.
All the common areas are spacious and really nicely setup. The Kitchen is beautiful and the Nespresso machine a delight! My small dog had a good time running around. I love that there is not a lot of furniture which makes the common area fun to run around with dog and my son. But there is also a nice dinning table and 2 bars at the kitchen.
The old farm attached to the house is really cool, too
Our stay was amazing....We needed a place to stay for a business trip but also wanted to bring our pup along for the fun....This old farmhouse has been updated with a beautiful kitchen, a pellet stove, a gorgeous clawfoot bath tub, a fenced in yard for the pup to run, and a large fridge (with android interface- which my boyfriend loved- I actually have no idea what that means...) yet still retained that 1850's feel with gorgeous original maple floors, tin ceilings, and hand hewn beams. Our bedroom was very comfortable- tons of pillows and a cozy bed (all the beds looked so cozy)! A Perfect place to stay with your family- larger than it it looks on the web- rooms are very big! We actually wished we had booked a longer stay- alas- next time! Thank you so much Allie- Perfect!
The location is great, we able to have some fun hikes in the area and delicious food in Montpelier. In terms of the house itself, the kitchen is great, one of the upstairs bedrooms is very large and light filled And the upstairs bathroom with long tub is great. There are some aspects of the description of the property that were didn’t meet our expectations. The barn is on one side of the fenced in yard and has openings to the bottom level of the barn. That level was full of loose boards with nails on them and our dogs immediately wanted to go in there. So we could not let our dogs go in the fenced in yard. We are trying to find the gym and it must be the yoga mat with two sets of hand weights.
This property has been through recent renovations. The home has new open space. The kitchen is the big prize for those staying at Fogg Farm. Massive room with high end appliances. Nice views of nearby hills. It is a quiet area, yet close to everything. You are just 5 minutes from Rt 89 and 10 minutes from Barre. Williamstown is a quaint area for some R & R. The people are very nice. It is a happy place.
The second floor boasts a new Ball and Claw Tub with ample space to rest the weary muscles from walking and hiking. Everything is now a modern country feel where it has been renovated. We will be back soon.
We stayed here for Norwich Univ graduation with family weekend of April 25-29. The location to the Univ was less then 20 mins. Which was a nice plus. The kitchen was perfect! We brought food, cooked and ate all our meals here. The size of the kitchen made this home perfect for us- it’s where our family always gathers. We did bring our own Keurig for coffee as we’re not Nespesso coffee drinkers- having this option there would have been nice.
Everything we needed was provided for the bedrooms and bathrooms; plenty of blankets, towels, shampoos, etc.
One important mention- the stairs to the 2nd floor are steep! This is a beautifully remodeled old farmhouse so expected, but still hard on the knees- and not appropriate for our elderly Mom. Very helpful to have a bedroom on the first floor
We would happily stay here again! The Host was always prompt when responding and the home was cozy. Thank you for sharing your home
Staying at this home was a true treat! It was living in history but with a state of the art kitchen!
Immaculately kept, our family waa able to enjoy the home’s living spaces and relax with our two small dogs.
So many amenities! Beautifully decorated with soft towels and comfortable beds.*
We stayed in the 1st floor bedroom with full bath next door. (There are a high set up steps to enter front door on porch) Our son and his wife stayed in the master upstairs-which had window air conditioning. We did not use the other huge bedroom upstairs, but borrowed the fan from it.
The photos shown accurately portray this home- other than it feeling much larger than the photos show.
All communication with owner was impressive, with a small booklet with clear directions and additional info noted.
Our son is moving to the area, so we will be visiting again!
A highlight of our mini-vacation was staying with in this lovely home-especially using their amazing kitchen!
*The only air conditioning was in the upstairs bedroom. Also, screens were missing in several windows, including our room, so we were unable to cool off at night-easy things to fix.
This old farmhouse offers a roomy, eclectic stay. Evidence of upgrading and modernizing is evident with large modern kitchen, refurbished master bedroom and upstairs bathroom. We loved the mix of original and funky new furnishings and art. We loved the variety of antiques and vintage items with more modern style.
The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances, lots of vintage China, new silver and kitchen tools. There is no microwave or toaster oven which would be useful. The only utensil we didn’t ding was a paring knife. There were no wine or bar glasses available but we made do with new glasses. Plenty of dishes and utensils for even a large dinner party.
The downstairs full bathroom is small but has full tub and shower with good water pressure. Upstairs bathroom has loads of space with bathtub with sprayer. A good supply of toiletries are provided. Towels were thick and new.
Two upstairs bedrooms are large with a few furnishings. The queen beds were comfortable. The downstairs bedroom has a full bed but it was not comfortable. There were no bed stands or lamps there. Also there were no screens on bedroom window - looks like they are in middle of a project on back wall.
Rainy weather prevented us from enjoying the outdoor areas. The large screened yard is flat and great for containing the pets and little ones. The property is on the side of a steep hill. The start of the hike to the back (top) of the property is a steep one.
Would visit again.
Amazing remodel of a truly historic farmhouse. Great cooking kitchen, lots of space and located near the state capital, Montpelier.
Owners immediately responsive and great to work with!
We had a wonderful holiday in Vermont in this beautiful home.
We had a fantastic stay at this gorgeous property! The host’s impeccable taste is evident in every small detail, making the space feel both luxurious and welcoming. The house is filled with high-tech appliances that add a touch of modern convenience, and the fenced-in backyard is perfect for relaxation and privacy.
The beautiful barn on the property is a unique feature that adds so much charm. The location is ideal—close to the capital and only about an hour from Burlington, Vermont’s most populated city. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this stunning home!

Lovely home, quiet location, accurately described online.
Our stay was short but very comfortable.
Bed in Master Bedroom & the 1st floor bed were soooo comfortable!!! Best night sleep in a long time! Thank you
We loved our stay at the Fogg Farmhouse! Easy to find, very clean, seamless check-in process. The kitchen was lovely and got lots of use, as did the beautiful upstairs bathroom with deep clawfoot tub. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather for porch coffee in the morning. Though the fenced yard was a little too "wild" for our young dog (there is access to the antique barn, as well as the space underneath the barn), we were able to utilize the nearby dog park in Barre so that he could run around! The stairs to the second floor are steep and a little bit slippery, as to be expected with a house of this age, but that's just something to note for anyone with mobility issues. This house has been lovingly updated and maintained, and staying here was a true pleasure!
This property was beautiful, it still had that old time feel but was beautifully remodeled and decorated. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The town was quiet and we enjoyed checking out the barn.
