"It seems a little "locked down" when you arrive with a security window and some daunting rules posted next to the window but the room was nice and clean. It was relatively quiet and it served the purpose with the least expensive option for the week. No carpet so it's easier to clean. Basic room for basic purposes but not as much of a dive as you might expect from the outside. "

"Nice quiet location. Staff is great. Right next door to a casino and dining. My only complaint would be the bed. Mattresses is a little on the springy side. But the room is great for a quick stop over. "

"My stay at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Reno Downtown was decent overall. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were polite, though not particularly warm. The room was clean and had all the basic amenities, but it felt a bit outdated and could use some renovation. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were too small for my liking. "Friendly staff. The man running the connected pizza place seemed annoyed that I only asked for a soda. Room was clean. Mini fridge and microwave. It’s a pretty basic hotel. The bus line is super convenient to downtown."

"A step or two above other recent stays (looking at you Best Western Stagecoach Inn). Clean, modern and fresh. A breakfast worthy of the name and worth eating (still a ways away from a Scandic). It was an overnight ski stop and was convenient enough to get to Palisades with a handy Raley's down the road."

"The inn is conveniently located a few hundred feet off highway 80. Despite this proximity, it is very quite. We had no traffic noise in the room (#310). Accommodations are basic / rustic. The room is not updated and a little rundown, but it is clean and provides the necessities for a short stay. The inn istself is very basic as well, but in good working condition. There is a bar / brewery and a little convenince store a few steps away. Breakfast is very basic and we skipped it in favor of local diners. The staff is friendly and efficient. We stayed 2 nights and the room was not turned over. Not sure why. Not a big deal for our needs though. Overall a convenient stay and less expensive than other spots, especially on ski break week."
