"Overnight stay in Santa Cruz with my Wife - Hotel beds were terrible - Asked for double-Got singles and mine tipped over in the night sending me sprawling to the floor. Room was uber basic, far too hot and sweaty and the ceiling fan made next to no difference. Had to open all windows and listen to street noise all night to be able to breathe. Bathroom very tired with hairs in the bath and an absolutely useless shower. Also, bathroom window was essentially hanging off. Overall decor poor...

"The hotel is basic a literally a room, reception is via another hotel a few doors up, convenient for shops and transport links. I made the mistake of assuming air conditioning was available but there isn’t any and it isn’t advertised as an amenity so the room was too hot for me. As a suggestion, a fan would be an option."

"Overall terrible experience. The bed for uncomfortable the room was hot and outdated and the towels were like cardboard. We asked to be reimbursed for the night we weren’t going to use because it was that bad and we found another hotel. Of course, they said that they cannot refund us the money, but they were quick to charge us the entire day upon check-in. Stay away from this place. "

"The initial receptionist was ‘cool’ towards us on arrival. Other staff members were great, and on leaving the female receptionist was so helpful and friendly. It’s a great place to stay. Our bathroom still had previous occupants hairs in the shower, and there were clearly sewerage issues. The room itself was light, airy, and simple, buy comfortable. "I've spent 3 nights in the Hotel Nautico. Arriving at the hotel, there's ample parking on the street, the check in was quick and the room was neat and clean. You can walk to the bars, however there's nothing spectacular within 10 minutes walking, so either you're in for a walk or a short drive. I haven't experienced the breakfast. There's free wifi in the rooms, which isn't that quick, but good enough for basics."
