"Lovely, helpful staff who went out of their way to ensure I had a good stay on my one night layover in San Francisco. My room was lovely and quiet and the only issue I had was that it was very cold as no one had placed the room heater in the room. But otherwise all was great and the staff kindly stored my bag for the day before I returned to the airport. Thank you! "

"Quiet, cheap, clean hostel with good staff. Just gotta fix the elevator. Good kitchen and laundry. Comfortable bed but creaky springs every time you roll over. A convenient location for transport around the city. One block from Union Square. I would stay here again. ps: Lime scooters won’t make it up the hill."

"The property was just in the right spot. To the right there were lots of dining and shopping places.. you felt safe. On the left side further down the area was not good .. too many homeless . The hotel was close to metro.. trolleys. We walked at night and it was safe. Nice rooms"

"I booked this property based on price and location. It was offered at a great rate (based on the date booked, New Years Eve). This property was my 2nd choice for booking (based on rate) but very quickly be came my 1st due the increased safety I felt over my 1st choice. It is quite close to Union Square. The property is dated but retains character. The two staff members I dealt with were very friendly. I routinely travel to that area, in hopes of finding cheap and safe lodging, and this is the...

"The staffs were excellent. Very helpful.the shared lobby and the kitchen are good too. The 6 bed shared room where I stayed were full of worn out beds, did not appear to be ‘clean’ enough. Not enough spaced to hang out used clothes. Maybe, considering the low cost, it should be accepted."
