"Great old style building and very convenietly located for riding the cable cars around town. There were also some great options close by for drinks and eats. My only conplaint was that the breakfast was a bit lacking. "

"The hotel was fine, handy to Union square, cable car and shops. Room was dark and window exterior really grubby. Lifts were slow and can slither down stairs if happy to do so, but not well lit at all. Protestors for Marriott and Westin I know were outside hotels control but were on both opp corners to us and with single glazed windows, we were awake at 6am with drums and chanting all day - been ongoing we hear for months. "

"I liked the hotel decor, especially the lobby. There was an issue with Expedia's pre-payment rate. I was charged the full amount at the start of my stay, rather than before I arrived or at the end of my stay. The hotel staff was helpful, but the daily cleaning service didn't clean my room. Also there aren't any phones in the hotel rooms. I'd recommend for a quick trip! There are a lot of options for dinner and exploring SF nearby. I wouldn't recommend the bus stop in front of the hotel, but...
