"Excellent Ryokan that has been well maintained and cared for given its long history. The old facility is evident and yet despite that, provided a cosy stay. The host was extremely warm and welcoming and showed the hospitality as one would expect from a traditional Ryokan passed down from decades old. They weren't just hospitable with their delicious cooking, but they help out with your itinerary to make sure you get the best out of your trip! With their warm welcomes, good cooking, and breathtaking views of Wakayama. This place is one of a kind that you must experience. Plus they tend to turkey, a rooster, and 50 goats! "

"I stayed for three nights. The hotel is clean and well ventilated. I was lucky enough to have a large and quiet room. The owner is very friendly and doesn't bother guests. But the only regret is that the floor noise is loud. It will be noisy if you live next to the stairs. I would come again if given the chance."

"We thought the staff were so accommodating. Nothing was a problem. We asked to cancel our Japanese breakfast and they applied the cost as a credit toward our dinner meal, which was excellent. Provided an extra pillow and always had fresh towels for the onsen. They also helped with directions to various places we visited. Beautiful view of the river from where you sit in the onsen. Arigatogozaimasu!"

"This hotel has only one guest house, not room. The house has two bed rooms with two single bed in each. You can play piano if you wish. Big bath, small kittchen clean toilet to stay number of days with a family or friends. Food is not math produced. We have had a game (November) in Italian style for dinner. Hotel is more than 200 year old historical buirding but well maitained. Owner explains building and it's uniqe history. It was our own way from Koya-mountain to Nara by car."
