"The room is very spacious, nice private onsen next to the ocean, under a wonderful starry night. Half-board dinner and breakfast were delicious. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. "

"Hotel was an 8 minute walk from the train station, easy as. Hotel was clean and staff friendly and welcoming. Room was gorgeous, traditional Japanese room with the most amazing view over the water, sunrise and sunset was beautiful. Room was very comfortable as was the futon for sleeping. Bathroom in the room (no shower) and the room had everything you needed. Bathing: hotel has a male and female (separate) sento/onsen (communal bathing). Common at the more traditional hotels. You have your modesty towel 😅 to use if you wish. Mattered were two male baths- indoor and outdoor. Indoor was beautifully hot and large in size and being indoor, the steam is a great feeling. Outdoor one is smaller (4 people), and is nice and warm and allows a good balance of being able to moderate your body temperature. Both look at our the water. Don’t be shy to go and use these facilities, great place to talk with people whilst relaxing or keep to yourself. Town is an old port town and is very quiet, not many cars around or people. By 6pm you might see a handful of people walking around. Dining options are limited outside the hotel but they are there, if you walk around the street you will find enough dining options. It’s a beautiful town and easy trip to Nachi taisha. Info office at the station if you need, they speak English and happy to help you. Great time and highly recommend this hotel."

"Perfect experience. Best toilets in Japan. Heaters were very effective. Smoking room has air purifier and heater. Traditional room was satisfactory. People were utterly kind. Public bath is comfortable. "

"It's a great hotel, it has anything you need. Private bathrooms are clean and and provided with amenities. Shampoo, soap, conditioner, brush, sponge, etc. A great buffet breakfast is provided Also it has vending machines and also the hotel has an Onsen (hot spring) and public bathing facility on the 1st floor. I highly recommend it "

"We enjoyed our stay very much. The outdoor spa, especially the ones with ocean views are exceptional. The dining hall is huge. The breakfast and dinner buffets provide high quality and many varieties of food. Shuttle ferry / bus are convenient. The sunrise and sunset at the viewing platform are beautiful."

"A very different experience for a foreigner, and one that I cherished as a student of Buddhism. If you aren’t adventurous, I don’t recommend it, and if you go, please be curious, open, and full of respect.
