"Samara Pacific Lodge is a hidden gem for our Samara adventure! The location was perfect. We could walk to the beach for some surfing in the mornings, then head into town for delicious local eats in the afternoons. In the evenings, the pool area was a lifesaver! Nice and refreshing, with plenty of comfy loungers to catch some rays and unwind. The staff here were incredible. Kenneth and Allen were so friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond with a smile. And breakfast every morning...

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

However, it is important to note that you must call a day ahead to confirm your booking as the man on duty is not always notified that you are coming... Also, be aware that to get to Ostional and Villas Punta India, you must travel on at least 17 miles of dirt road. Rough drive if you don't have 4-wheel drive (or a larger car)!"

"This place was an absolute dream for me and my friends, and would recommend it for any group. The property has endless gold star benefits, my favorite being the huge yard. Being able to see the ocean from our yard, as well as to stand in the grass under the incredible Costa Rican night sky, was a blessing. The houses were clean, comfortable, and very well decorated, they felt like a real home. The pool is awesome too! Coltin was always on call for any and every question we had, and made his best...
