My biggest concern was having to listen to a constant dialogue between the staff at breakfast time complaining to each other about their other colleagues and their shifts. "When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise. It was a very unfortunate situation. We are from the USA and found out upon arrival in England that our cell phones were not working properly so...

"Although a little compact this apartment had everything we needed for one night stay en route to a cruise holiday. The decor was modern clean and crisp and the property was well insulated away from any noise. It is a two minute walk to Eastgate car park which is the cheapest Car park in Southampton for long-term stays. It’s a £6 Uber ride from the property to Southampton dock so all in all it is a very inexpensive way to visit and stay in Southampton. "
