"The staff is welcoming and kind, this is a family run business for 6 generations! The half board breakfast and dinner are exceptional, kaiseki style and every dish is presented beautifully. The location is right on the ometesando, lots of foot traffic but quiet. Futons are comfortable. We loved our stay and want to go back!"

"Minshuku Miyama is a wonderfully cozy place! The tatami rooms were bigger than most hotel rooms we stayed in and the futons were very comfortable. The open air bath was lovely and spacious and the hint of sulfur smells ensured that the water is straight from the ground babyyy!! The best parts of Miyama were the owners Eiko and Shigemi - they were welcoming from the start and prepared an amazing dinner of multiple Japanese dishes as well as a big delicious breakfast. "Had a terrific relaxing couple nights. The best beds we've yet had to sleep on. Bedding was super comfortable as well. The included breakfast was great. Western style. Lake around the property is nice to walk, has several good food options. The 7-11 is an easy 10 min walk to get drinks and snacks. And the fellow at the resort gave us a quick lift to the train station for the next leg of our journey. Really enjoyed our stay. "
