"Really handy for the train station and able to leave bags both days which was great. Lots of pubs and dining very close. Hotel surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night. Most staff helpful and friendly. Rooms basic and shower was old-fashioned. Good basic hotel. Location was a good enough reason to select."

"The Hobbit Rooms are in a lovely quiet location high in the hills above Sowerby Bridge with lovely views. The rooms themselves are comfortable, clean and cozy with a really super fab shower. We’ve stayed there twice now and have booked again for Christmas. The Hobbit used to be a pub and restaurant too that has sadly closed but there are plenty of other options in Sowerby Bridge and surrounding areas."

"The Old Post Office is easy to find from the bus station. A warm welcome from the manager and easy to follow instructions for getting in out of hours. Room is cosy and comfortable. The Old Post Office is just a 5-10 minute walk to the Minster. If you’re going to a show at the Minster, you can’t go wrong staying over at The Old Post Office. "

"The owner and staff are lovely and made us feel incredibly welcome. Unfortunately the room needs some upgrading and TLC, the sink didn’t work and the carpet was rather grimy. The toilets and showers are in need of repair and cleaning, we had breakfast once but again it wasn’t overly clean so decided to go elsewhere after that. Really friendly and welcoming group of people."
