"A one night birthday trip. Staff are welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. Room comfortable if a little small. Room was very warm but solved by turning off the heat and opening the window. My only recommendation would be for the waiting staff to bring out the required knives for meals. Had soup and a roll with whipped butter but no knife to spread butter, also had steak again no steak knife. Both had to be requested. "Great one night stay, very friendly and easy check in. Went for a walk across the Chevin with friends also staying at the guesthouse. Nice drink in the pub afterwards before checking in. Great to relax in the room with an amazing view from the room and the balcony outside. Very quiet room even with neighbours either side, didn't hear a thing. Lots of parking and easy taxis to travel around in the evening. Powerful shower and full cooked breakfast in the morning."

"Patrick and his wife were very welcoming, the property is dated but comfortable and clean and very reasonably priced. The surrounding area is a short walk away, with some nice pubs, restaurants (with gluten free options), shops and a Tesco etc... The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been some comfy chairs or small sofa in the room as I personally struggle watching TV in bed, due to health issues, but other than that it was a pleasant stay."
