"The rooms were beautiful, clean and quite spacious compared to other hotel rooms. Liked that they had two shower heads, one that could be lowered to shower kids. We were on second floor and there was some road noise but I didn’t find it bad at all. The breakfast was good, there were lots of options. The downside was that the pool was freezing cold. It says it’s heated but it sure wasn’t anywhere near as warm as the other holiday inn we stayed at the night prior. The hot tub was wonderful but...

"Beach Haven was a good place to stay. The pool and hot tub were great and the staff treated us very well. The location is excellent, with quick access to pacific beach and the ocean front walkway. There are some good restaurants around and lots of places to get ice cream. Some of the items such as soap etc were pretty low quality and the towels were a bit tired, but overall this places is quite good. The pool really makes it. "

"Absolutely loved this hotel—so much personality! The views (we were on the second floor) looked straight out at the ocean. The balcony overlooks the iconic curved street leading down to the tip of La Jolla/Oceanfront. We walked just a couple of doors down to Duke’s and had dinner on their oceanview deck. Then we came back and headed to the rooftop bar that extends over the hotel—it was the perfect end to the evening. Parking might be a pain, but you can Valet by pulling right up to the front...
