While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. "The hotel provided a huge breakfast buffet. The room was large and had a closet that two children could live in. I didn’t see any English-speaking people and most signs were only in Japanese. Most of the staff did not speak English. The lobby decorations were decades old and not coordinated. A large and noisy children’s arcade was adjourned but few children were present-maybe years ago. "Had a terrific relaxing couple nights. The best beds we've yet had to sleep on. Bedding was super comfortable as well. The included breakfast was great. Western style. Lake around the property is nice to walk, has several good food options. The 7-11 is an easy 10 min walk to get drinks and snacks. And the fellow at the resort gave us a quick lift to the train station for the next leg of our journey. Really enjoyed our stay. "

"The property is a little old and it shows in some areas but overall it was a great experience. The staff were all amazing and the bathhouse was excellent. Very short walk to the train and bus station. "

"Great resort but a bit older style and window is single pane so cold air still seeps thru the hobby and hallway area. Some of the ceiling and walls are cracking and stains. The resort has family friendly things to do like ping pong and arcade area. The hot spa was pretty good. Breakfast is a great experience. Overall, good experience. "
