"Wonderful place to stay at any season. Walkable to shops and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They keep the beach area clean and have chairs everywhere for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake view at anytime of the day. They keep the swimming pool area very clean. This is my favorite place for a weekend getaway. I do miss the breakfast/coffee time from the club house/play area I don't think they offer that anymore. Great place to stay solo or with family. "The door was hard to open and looked like the door had been kicked in at some point. The door jam was busted and did not give you that warm fuzzy safe feeling."

"Loved this hotel, it's not like every other hotel, rooms mostly looking alike, it is unique. The room was huge, the bed is a regular bed though, squeaky. Complaints about the carpet are greatly unfounded, they are going to update it, but it is clean and not bad looking. They are currently renovating the upstairs rooms, but it did not affect our stay. Great little historic hotel, I recommend it. "
