"Overall, the property is an excellent spot for a heavy sleeper. It is less than a 5 minute walk to Paddington Station, but conversely this does make it quite noticable when trains are arriving/departing. As a deep sleeper this was not an issue, but for someone who is more prone to sounds at night, this could be problematic. "We were 2 hrs early than 2PM checkin. They would charge 20 pounds for early checkin, so we left our bags at front desk, until 2pm, so we could eat lunch without our bags. "This place is run down. Irregular stains, wear, peeling paint, molding shower area, falling apart furniture, etc. Bed is hard. You can hear the trains ( underground subway) all day and night up to 1230 am- ish. TV has about 5 channels: 3 crime and 1 craft and 1 very old movie channels which FREQUENTLY got scrambled and cut off. I recommend this to solo short term travellers who just need a basic accommodation within the city's centre.
