"This is our second time staying at this property while visiting Norwich University, a short drive away. The rooms and most importantly to me, the bathrooms were clean and updated. The beds were comfy. It is also not far from Montpelier where you have great dining options. For your convenience, there is an Applebees within walking distance.They offer a nice breakfast.The front staff are friendly and polite. I would definitely stay here again!"

"The stay was good. The size of the room was larger than expected and clean ws well as nice. My only complaint was the continental breakfast. It was not much to be desired. Only two types of cereal, small store bought mini doughnuts, and bite size muffins. There was no yogurt or eggs and bacon or sausage that are also part of a continental breakfast."

"We don't usually visit Vermont in mud season so that was an education in itself. But we came to see family: the goats were just an added bonus adventure, a little test to see if the city kids would enjoy the farm. 100% wonderful experience: feeding a pen full of friendly baby goats, softer than puppies, milking a momma goat, learning their names, markings, the business, etc, just a delight. "We had a great time at the Maplecroft Bed and breakfast in Barre, Vermont. Our host was very accomodating and the room and breakfast were both outstanding. There was a big snowstorm while we were there, which required me to sweep off/shovel out my own car (to which I would never object). However, we then left for the day and I wonder what might have happened if we had returned and found someone else in the parking spot we had shoveled out, requiring us to do it all over again. "This was a lovely place to stay. It felt very comfortable. It was very bright and sunny. Next to train tracks, but maybe because it's up on the third floor, it did not bother us at all. The main area is much bigger than it looks in the pictures Close to everything in Waterbury, and a short drive to Stowe, Waitsfield, and other locations around the state.
