"I stayed at a small single room with shared bathroom, early April. Room is basic and fairly small, and breakfast is simple and economical. I found it a bit pricey for the room, but I guess everything is expensive in Zermatt anyway. Staff was very friendly, and as long as you don’t expect anything fancy it should be alright. Thanks :)"

"This property was wonderfully convenient to the bus and train stop…I mean within 2-3 minutes. That was so nice. And it was clean and the door locked and we had the things we needed. "The apartment I was given was clean, well equipped and had an amazing view…not sure if this ‘view’ is guaranteed so I will refrain from saying what the view was but you can guess. "The biggest disappointment was the distance from Zermatt, our destination. It took us 3 hours one way- 2 buses and 2 trains to change to reach our destination. This results in loss of precious time for travellers, who have a tight schedule. Point de Zinal SHOULD NOT be displayed as a property in Zermatt. It is misleading- EXPEDIA to note please"

"Whatever you remember about youth hostels, this ain't it. Modern, clean, not cheap (it's Switzerland), and it has a very nice wellness spa for a rather reasonable additional charge. Food is good but not fancy, and staff were extremely helpful. The only glitch was that I booked this stay with OneKeyCash, and hotels.com (i.e., expedia) took my money and gave me a receipt showing no balance due, but then didn't actually pay the hostel! That led to lots of extra work for the hostel staff to...
