"Great B&B. Cosy room, excellent breakfast and welcoming pub downstairs. Would stay again but I’d book independently as YOU, HOTELS.COM did not pass on my payment to the Bootham and YOU told the Bootham I was 2 persons and needed to be charged double for breakfasts! I had to prove I’d paid for my stay when I arrived which made me feel very uncomfortable and I hold YOU, HOTELS.COM entirely responsible and in no way am I annoyed with the Bootham B&B. "Booked through hotels.com Lovely staff in reception, Parking was easy and we slept well (reasonably firm mattress and pillow which was ideal for me) It was quite warm so we slept with the window open, not a problem. We were supposed to receive a free breakfast (according to our booking) but were told they don’t do breakfasts although we could, if we wished, pay £5.99 for a breakfast box, from reception or just mooch over to Greggs. "We had a couple of nights stay in the New Inn and it was a lovely clean comfortable place. Great check in and access to a fridge, plates and cutlery if you need it. Chinese restaurant just a minute walk away which was really good. There was a fish and chip place too but unfortunately it was closed while we were staying. Would definitely recommend staying here though, nice safe friendly little village with a great community shop five minute walk away. "

"Arrived very late and left early but the stay was excellent and the proprietor was very friendly and helpful. An excellent property and I will certainly stay there again if I'm in the area. Thoroughly recommended. "

"I would recommend a stay here for the fabulous central location. The room was clean and check in instructions were very clear. Please be aware there was no reception as such, but if needed you can leave your luggage at the bar next door, and there were emergency contacts listed. We didn't need any of this but good to know. There were a couple of bottles of water in the room and some discount vouchers, all of which were an unexpected bonus. The kitchenette was handy if you wanted to make a drink...
