"I love the traditional tatami rooms here. The ‘Bekkan’ is an annex and based in an older building that is charmingly done. It has its own baths, but you have access to the bigger and outdoor baths at the main building a block away. We hadn’t ticked the dinner box when reserving. Dining options in this town may be somewhat limited as most onsen inns serve meals inside. The restaurants fill up. We ordered the dinner when we arrived. "We stayed overnight after a long drive from Fukuoka and it was quite an experience. It felt like we went camping. The service was also great with the free microwaveable light meal and drinks. The room was well maintained but since it’s a container, you can feel the shake when someone is walking. The parking is free and very convenient too. All in all it was a good stay and experience. "

"My only complaint is the road to get to the container villa is so obviously made for a one way but the kurokawa onsen village decided that traffic can struggle to figure out who has the right of way and reverse in the middle of the road… very dangerous but any who.. The actual container villa was such a vibe from the moment I pulled into the parking lot. So convenient that they had signs pointing to where I needed to go to check in and instructions in both the email and the tablet used to check...

"一人の利用でも夕食をお部屋でとらせていただけたのがとてもありがたかったです。 とにかくすべてがおいしいです。名物料理が全て食べられて、りゅうきゅうの味もだんご汁の麺？のもちもち感も本当に良かったんですが、特にブリのお刺身が最高すぎてひっくり返りました。 ただやはり量がものすごいので、風習とはいえ旅館さんもそろそろフードロス問題に取り組んでほしいなとも思いました。 お風呂は別々の場所に三つあるところを予約をしたり誰か使っていないか確認しながら服を着直して移動しないといけないので少し面倒でした。42℃のお湯に入れない人間ですがお湯は混ぜてもかなり熱いかったです。大きい方を先に予約できたのが正解で、小さい方は足しか無理でした。好きな時間に予約したい方は早めに伺った方がいいです。露天には洗い場がないので、先に洗い場があるお風呂の予約がとれないと露天にいけません。 大寒波がきてたのもあり、お部屋もエアコンの温度をかなり上げてもぬくぬくとはいきませんでした。廊下もかなり冷えるので、冬に行かれる方はしっかり防寒着あった方が良いかと思います。鉄輪の冬は東京よりもかなり寒かったです。"
