"7 minute walk from the train station, sort of midpoint between the station and the canal area, right by the shopping mall. Which makes this location walkable. Plenty of bars, cafes and eateries near by although I was there on Christmas eve and lest things were shutting down I got a takeout from the food court in the mall. Shower- nice and hot, good pressure. Noise- given my room faced the main street the insulation was surprisingly good. I did hear some street noise but mostly sound proof...

"We loved everything about this place. Spotless, huge space, modern kitchen and bathroom, comfortable couch and beds, great shower. Garage parking to top it off. We wished we stayed longer. Great place after a beautiful visit to the Douro Valley."

What was a big disappointment was the attitude of the staff--starting with an incompetent and surly check-in by the hotel's bartender -- we had paid for a third person and bed but he tried to charge us again for that extra.
