"Solid, clean and nice 3-Star Hotel. Nothing to complain about. Nice service already via telephone. Bar at the rooftop, rather small but nice view. All new and clean. Style rather wanna be chic but ok. Rooms Basic but nice. Beds big but quite hard. Depends what you favor. "

"Beautiful place if “lavish” for me. Great staff, super clean, amazing bed and shower, really nice breakfast. Get a room overlooking the water. I ate at The Library Bar both nights (January; very very few options) and It was fine as well as the service. Wineries within walking distance and decent trek right from hotel into the hills "

"Wonderful hotel in a wonderful town. We stayed in three other "nice" hotels on our Portugal trip, and this one was so much better than the rest. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and made you feel like a "Guest" not just a number. Clean and beautifully decorated with everything prepared to a very high level. Lovely bar with piano player every night. We can't wait to stay there again!"

"This is my second time staying at the property and it was the same magical experience. This time around I just wanted to relax and enjoy the property. And that I did! I spent my days enjoying the trails, in enjoying the multiple fireplaces on the property. And of course the dinner. The food wine and port made for an unforgettable stay. "

"Coimbra is a very busy city with a lot of traffic that clearly creates ongoing parking challenges and general congestion. The property itself is hard to access but once you’re in, is quite good. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was excellent with a particularly good bathroom. The hotel has many group bookings and insufficient elevators so expect a wait at reception or getting to/ from your room. "I book this property because I needed an over night stay during my road trip through Portugal. My only regret not staying longer. Staff: Friendly, nice and very accommodating. Accommodations: the property has a unique design with a full service restaurant on the roof. The rooms are just pictured and surprisingly comfortable. Location: Central right by the bridge with shops and sights literally around the corner. Back to the food… I had one of the BEST shrimp dishes I’ve ever had in my life. I’m embarrassed to say it was so good I literally order two of them. Don’t let the concept of the hotel deter you. I had a very enjoyable stay and would stay there again in a heartbeat. "
