"This place is picturesque and has potential, but the staff was inattentive and seemed bothered when we asked for anything. We had to search the grounds for someone to come to check us in. The bartender wasn’t around for at least the first 20 mins of happy hour. We were told a lot of things were not done properly (room cleaning) or not working (hot tub) b/c of electricity issues (to be fair, it is rainy season and there were thunderstorms each night and it sounds like they were working off...

"A good basic CR hotel. Safe secure no hot water small sketchy pool but the staff was friendly and helpful. Community kitchen was serviceable. Restaurant was top notch and location was excellent "

"The room was very nice and clean. I appreciated the hosts’ work to make it an enjoyable stay. The howler monkeys hooting at 5:30 am made sure I didn’t sleep in for my 7 am start at Costa Rica Dive and Surf. It was a pleasant stay. "
