"The architecture and setting were wonderful. That said, the property is isolated from the main town of Puerto Vallarta and requires transportation to get off-site. The staff was attentive and friendly. The facility is showing it's age, as it is about 40-50 years old, so there are maintenance issues that need to be addressed. The shower handle in our suite fell off; there was some mold on the corners and closet doors and fixtures that did not work as they should."

"Nice little boutique hotel just on the other side of the main road. Once you cross you can walk 5 mins to beach area with lots of bars and restaurants. Nice size, clean and cmfortable rooms. The area around the hotel. is a very old little rundown town. OXXO, (convenance store) right attached to Hotel. Positive is just up the street area about 4 Tequila making plants that welcome you for tastings."

"Excellent hotel, very friendly and professional staff, the hotel is a bit far from the "action" in Puerto Vallarta, but this depends what you are looking for. Interesting mix of guests, young / old, Mexicans / Non-Mex variety, always had a good talk. For Golf courses you will need to drive approx 45-60 min, but the courses are very nice. There is a Scuba shop on-site, dive site in general are good and Dive Masters / Instructors very knowlegable."

"Very disappointing, the reviews are quite inaccurate. This facility is overpriced for what it has to offer and what you can get for less $ that is much much nicer and more up to date in this area. Needs attention to detail, for example - noisy and inappropriately placed air conditioners, old, noisy ceiling fans, TERRIBLE lighting. If I had been trying to get ready for a wedding here -- I would have moved to another facility. Pluses - candles in room, great coffee in restaurant, pretty nice...
