"The room we stayed in had a weird smell to it no matter how long we left the window open. It was kind of like stale potato chips. The location was good, but the walls were super thin, so in the morning, we could hear everything everyone in the other room was saying. "Owner was very kind and prepared very good dinner even we requested in very late time. It is Japanese style room, so if you are not used to futon it might be hard. Room is very spacious and confortable. Shower is in common place, next to onsen. It is also convenient that there is also an small drugstore to buy some snacks or drinks"

"The hostel is conveniently located near the train station. It is fine, but I found the bed was a bit uncomfortable. There were gaps between the boards under the bed, so for a side sleeper, you either have your hip/shoulder on hard wood, or completely unsupported. Lockers for valuables provided, but no lockers for big luggage. Other than that it was fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again."
