"Great hotel adjacent to the Tower of London, literally a 10-minute leisurely walk from the hotel to the entrance of the Tower of London. Comfortable rooms, easy walking to many local restaurants and sightseeing opportunities. The only negative that I can think of would be the price of the breakfast buffet, at approximately 38 US dollars, was definitely not worth it. Nice place that I would stay at again."

"This hotel was a 30 minute walk so when we got off the train we walked and when we were going back home to the train we walked. This hotel is also a 10-15 minute walk from all the landmarks / sightseeing! We got to see all the landmarks in 1 day! There was bars and restaurants around our area, so it was still lively - but lovely and quiet. Our room was a lovely size, we couldn’t have asked for anything more! Absolutely loved the smell of the hotel when we walked in everytime. Staff were amazing...

Chelsfield Lakes golf course. Two years ago the land here was about 5 metres lower than shown here. Over that period a procession of lorries arrived at the site laden with soil, which has now been profiled and seeded. It is due to become a 9 hole golf course, opening in Summer 2009, to complement the 18 hole course further west on the site. Until the 1990s, this was an orchard, part of Hewitts Farm, once a major farming enterprise, but now primarily a "pick your own" site (1021074) on the other side of the A224 (which runs behind the trees on the right of the photo). Planning permission was then sought for an out of town shopping centre here, making use of its easy connection to the M25 at nearby Junction 4, and the development of the golf course here followed refusal of that scheme.
