"I really enjoyed my one-week stay at Aquarele do Leme. The staff is great: super helpful and friendly. Even the owner, Thibault, is very nice and accessible. The terrace is the best. I enjoyed my coffee up there every morning. The breakfast included eggs, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers and assorted fruits, plus all of the normal stuff. "Wayyyyyy too much going on there. I ended up booking another hotel. It may have been because it was NYE weekend. I will shout out the manager. She was extremely nice and helpful. I really commend her for handling everything. She definitely deserves a raise!! "

The place itself is very well located, but the bunkers are not very solid and are made from light wood (I was on the top one and all night waking up because every time the guest underneath me moved, the whole bed moved too). The communal shower is also very tight. Overall, budget friendly for backpackers who don't mind a certain degree of discomfort "

"Poor experience given the price paid which was $30 per night for a dormitory. The breakfast buffet is minimal and dissolved quickly by people who literally thrust it into their bags without any oversight, and from thereon it isn't replenished correctly for all the other guests.The guy responsible for making the breakfast was super rude too. The entire place isn't effectively cleaned either which is sadly the reason why I have to give 1 star. Even with the few negatives expressed, I was itching...

"Staff were amazing! Helpful and friendly. Can arrange airport transfer for you. They all spoke English very well. There is a common area downstairs with a bar and free filtered water and lots of plugs to charge your electronics. The bunk beds were a little scary, very unstable. You only get two sheets and a pillow case so if you get a free blanket on your airline keep it! There is one plug in each bed spot. Rooms are air conditioned. It was a little expensive for a shared room with bunk beds but...

"Friendly staff, great location in Ipanema.Lots of hangout spots around the property and 2 desktop computers for guest use. Large lockers. Only negative- credit card required for incidentals. They type the number into their system, which I was uncomfortable with but the staff showed me the number became masked after manual entry"
