"What an experience. One of the more quieter and nicer all inclusive resorts on Zanzabar. 1/2 board though, but breakfast and dinner were ample buffets. Lots of local dishes and for such a remote place, much of the food is locally sourced. Fruit at breakfast and desserts made with local ingredients are standouts. "We stayed at Golden Tulip and found it to be moderately clean, though some areas, like the bathroom corners (bathroom door couldn’t close), could have been tidied up more. The biggest issue was the mosquitoes—despite some repellent being provided, I still had trouble with them during my stay. Overall, it was an okay experience, but the mosquito problem could definitely be improved."

"This is a beautiful hotel in a great location, right in the middle of the very long Matemwe beach. We loved everything about the hotel. Our room - a junior suite with a beach view and balcony - was gorgeous and very large. There was a view of the ocean from every room, including the shower, and the room was very clean and comfortable in every way.
