"Checkin was efficient & well explained. Provided with a code to access room. No key. Pleasantly surprised on entering the room with great view of Mt Fuji from the window. Room very comfortable with 2 beds, a separate sitting area Japanese style, kettle with amenities available from reception. Staff were very good & very attentive to requirements. Access to a rooftop area to admire Mt Fuji. We were lucky with clear days. Breakfast was included with my room - either Japanese cuisine , which was very tasty or international - egg & ham sandwich. Coffee, tea , juices are available. Ate at the restaurant which had a limited menu of 2 items. The ramen was very tasty. Hotel is approx half hour walk from kawaguchiko station. Also a short walk to the lake. Restaurants in the locality requiring a walk from the hotel. Bicycles are also available for hire to explore the area. I enjoyed my stay at Haostay & thank the staff for welcoming nature. Would recommend Haostay. "

"Great service from all staff. Public onsen was beautiful and could be accessed privately late at night or during day (late morning/ early afternoon) and private onsen can be booked at reveption for 45 mins for 3300 yen. You are provided with slippers and a yukata for your stay as long as the usual amenities in your room. The breakfast, tea with cakes, and drinks reception with snacks daily was a lovely touch. Our room overlooked the beautiful lake kawaguchiko. Highly recommend this hotel and would stay again!"
